Professional athletes around the country, including NBA players, have been doing their part to raise awareness, as well as funds, to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston and other parts of Texas. Some of them have taken to their social media accounts to ask for prayers and other forms of help, and the public has responded positively.

The latest member of the NBA community that is lending a helping hand is former San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan. His foundation, together with BlackJack Speed Shop, are donating supplies to the victims and have pulled in essentials which they could use.

The items on the loaded carts will be handed out to victims in different areas that were severely damaged. It has also been reported by Madalyn Mendoza of MySanAntonio.com, that they are working with racer Mike Murillo, to have more supplies to distribute.

“They are working with San Antonio racer and founder of Texas Jam Racing, Mike Murillo, who is rallying his network to donate.”

“The supplies, including Duncan's donations, will be taken to the Brazoria County Fairgrounds in Angleton, Murillo's post reads.”

If there’s any silver lining despite the natural calamity, the situation has definitely brought the kindness in a lot of people.
