Early in the third quarter of the San Antonio Spurs' game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, shooting guard Danny Green channeled his inner LeBron James.

With the Heat leading 61-57 over the Spurs, Green chased down Justise Winslow in transition and rejected his layup attempt with a monster chase-down block.

Video of the exceptional defensive play made by Green, which was posted on Twitter by Hashtag Basketball, can be viewed below.

The play definitely has its similarities with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James' block on Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala during the final minutes of Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Heading into Wednesday night’s contest with the Heat, Danny Green is averaging a respectable 9.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocked shots per game in 23 starts this season for the Spurs.

Despite trailing by as many as eight points at the end of the first quarter, the Spurs were able to pull away and then hold off the Heat in the second half en route to a 117-105 victory at AT&T Center. Green, who finished in double figures with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, also had three blocked shots, three rebounds, two steals, and two assists on the night.

The most impressive thing out of all of this is how well legendary Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has kept his team together without the services of superstar forward Kawhi Leonard this season.
