DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs is arguably the best mid-range shooter in the NBA, but that does not mean that he cannot make highlight plays. DeRozan left Charlotte Hornets defenders stunned during their showdown at the Spectrum Center. Leading by six points early in the third period, DeRozan received a baseline pass from Kyle Anderson, and passed by three defenders. The superstar guard found himself open, and he threw down a huge baseline jam, drawing oohs and aahs from Hornets fans.

DeRozan had a big night for the Spurs on Monday night. The 29-year-old guard ended up with 30 points on 12-for-24 shooting from the field. He also tallied eight rebounds and four assists for the Spurs. However, his effort was not enough, as the Hornets had the last laugh, escaping with a hard-earned 125-116 win in overtime.

Kemba Walker bounced back from a poor shooting performance against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, as he finished with 38 points for Charlotte. The three-time All-Star flirted with a triple-double, also racking up 11 assists and nine rebounds against the Spurs.

Walker also got a lot of help from his supporting cast. Dwayne Bacon had another surprising performance, finishing with a career-high 24 points on 9-for-16 shooting, including four three-pointers. The 40th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft is coming off a big night against the Raptors, where he posted 20 points for the Hornets.

Frank Kaminsky ended up with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Miles Bridges and Willy Hernangomez added 10 points apiece.

With the win, the Hornets improved to 35-39 and kept their playoff hopes alive. They are just 1.5 games behind the Miami Heat, who are currently holding on to the eighth and last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Spurs, on the other hand, dropped to eighth in the Western Conference.
