On Saturday afternoon, the San Antonio Spurs were completely outplayed in Game 1 of the first round by the Golden State Warriors en route to a lopsided 113-92 loss at Oracle Arena.

During his postgame press conference with members of the media, Spurs longtime head coach Gregg Popovich had yet another classic interview when he was asked some pretty bland questions regarding the game.

When asked by one reporter about whether Popovich thought that having Danny Green guard Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant was a success, the coach gave an absolutely priceless answer.

“Did you watch the game?” Popovich asked. “What do you think? It didn’t work very well. So we’ll have Danny grow four or five inches by Monday night, tell him to jump higher and move quicker, and we’ll tell Kevin ‘Don’t be so good.’”

Coach Pop's sense of humor is a thing of beauty, to put it lightly.

A video of the hilarious press conference, which was kindly uploaded by Spurs beat reporter Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News, can be viewed below in all of its glory.

The No. 7 seed Spurs did not stand much of a chance and certainly got “their [behinds] kicked,” as Popovich put it at the beginning of the interview. San Antonio simply could not stop Durant and star shooting guard Klay Thompson, who combined for 51 of Golden State's 113 points on the afternoon.

Game 2 of this best-of-seven series will start at 7:30 p.m. PT on Monday night as the Spurs will look towards somehow evening up the series before it shifts back to San Antonio.
