Following Saturday night's San Antonio protest over the death of George Floyd, Spurs' guard Lonnie Walker IV joined forces with many volunteers to help clean up the damage.

Walker delivered food, water bottles, took some photos with fans, and helped remove graffiti from buildings.

“Walking in downtown San Antonio, you know I got a lot of love for you,” Walker said on his Instagram. I don't have a reason to being nice, it just common courtesy, being a human, helping out is the best you can do. There's an abundance of people that our out here just working and it's inspiring, it means a lot to the city. You just got to take the good with the bad.

The protest in San Antonio took place Saturday evening in various parts of downtown. According to Marina Starleaf Riker, Vincent T. Davis, and Silvia Foster-Frau of the San Antonio Express-News, there were about 5,000 people marching downtown, with the event ending at 7 p.m. local time.

However, just hours after the protest ended, many people became violent, as they threw rocks and broke many shop windows downtown. They also looted many stores while police shot tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowd.

For Walker, who's only 21 years old, to be taking the time out of his day and helping out those who were affected by the protest, it's truly an inspiring thing to be seeing. This past week, we’ve seen various levels of engagement from NBA players in the aftermath of Floyd’s death.
