Manu Ginobili gave San Antonio Spurs fans at the AT&T Center one last display of unconditional love during his jersey retirement ceremony on Thursday night.

The 16-year NBA pro spent every single season with the Spurs, winning four titles along the way — still a legend and a fan favorite even after nearly a full year into his retirement.

The former Sixth Man of the Year addressed the crowd:

“I tweeted a few months ago when I announced my retirement, that it has been an amazing journey, way beyond my wildest dreams. I'm telling you … completely true,” said Ginobili. “Thank you, seriously, all here and all watching for being with me all along. I really appreciate it. I love you.”

Manu's speech was just what Spurs fans expected — short, sweet and heartfelt — the way he always delivered to his audience through his illustrious career.

Ginobili also got some great words from head coach Gregg Popovich and former teammate Tim Duncan, who recalled the first time he heard his name during the 1999 NBA Draft, shortly after winning the franchise's first-ever championship.

To make it all the better, Ginobili got to witness his Spurs pull off a 116-110 win thanks to a Patty Mills game-sealing 3-point jumper to encapsulate a joyous night for the fans.
