San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay flashed back to 2006 on Sunday night against the Toronto Raptors.

The 33-year-old showed he still has plenty of bounce, driving to the rim and lifting off — with full extension — for a poster jam over Raptors forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Gay has been steady in his role as a bench scorer. He has now played in all 38 games this season, and he entered Sunday's game averaging 10.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in just under 23 minutes per contest.

The 14-year-veteran has had to adapt to a much different role after re-signing with the Spurs for two years and $32 million this past summer. Gay started in 51 of 69 appearances last year, but he has come off the bench in all but five games this season.

San Antonio lack perimeter shooting and playmaking, which could explain why they rely so heavily upon Rudy Gay for production with the second unit.

Nevertheless, the former high-flyer is still making plays for the Spurs as they look to get back into the Western Conference playoff picture.

For what it's worth, the Spurs beat the Raptors 105-104 to improve to 17-21 on the season.
