Pau Gasol was greeted with a tribute video when he made his return to San Antonio to face the Spurs as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Spurs and Gasol have agreed to part ways a couple of weeks ago after the latter expressed dissatisfaction with his role in San Antonio. The Spurs initially tried to trade him last month but no one was willing to absorb his $16 million contract. After further negotiations, the franchise has ultimately decided to waive Gasol, giving him the chance to sign with a contender, which he did when he chose the Bucks.

Gasol spent two years with the Spurs, but his stint with the team has been plagued by injuries, which caused him to be in and out of the line-up. San Antonio wanted to pair him with LaMarcus Aldridge, but the fact that he wasn't able to remain healthy made the pairing unsuccessful.

Still, Pau was loved by the Spurs fans for his dedication to the franchise.

Gasol will now try to end his career by winning a third championship. He already won two titles back in 2009 and 2010 as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, and a third ring will probably just be icing on the cake for the 38-year-old Spaniard.

The 18-year veteran has played only three games for the Bucks so far.
