STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl comes out on April 28, 2022. It will be exclusively released on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will launch as part of the Xbox Game Pass.

The official gameplay trailer looks amazing, with next-gen graphics in full display. We get to see a short cinematic trailer, interspersed with gameplay moments. We get to see how Chernobyl aged throughout the years. Some new tools also made an appearance, which we get to play with once STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl comes out next year. There's a detector stick called Gilka, as well as a Jelly that restores your stamina.

With the game being a native next-gen only game, it'll be able to use fully next-gen graphics upgrades, such as Ray Tracing and 4K resolution. Ray Tracing was in full display in the campfire scenes in the trailer, which shows dynamic lighting and shadows. If you ask us, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl might become Xbox Series X/S's Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in terms of bringing the best out of the console's graphics capabilities.
