The Miami Heat suffered a couple of injuries during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, with Goran Dragic's ailment looming large for the outlook of the series. As Dragic exited the arena on Wednesday night, he was seen without a walking boot and he wasn't favoring his foot either, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Early in the first half of Game 1, Dragic would head to the locker room after injuring his foot against the Los Angeles Lakers. Following Miami's blowout loss, it was revealed that Dragic had sustained a plantar tear in his foot.

As a result, his status for the rest of the NBA Finals is in jeopardy as he undergoes further testing in the coming days. At the least, it's a positive sign that he was able to leave the arena without needing a boot to aid him with his foot ailment.

Dragic has been a key contributor for the Heat as they've made an improbable run in the postseason. Despite seeing a bench role for the majority of the season, Dragic has started in every game for the Heat in the playoffs. The veteran point guard has notched 19.9 points and 4.6 assists per game during Miami's playoff run.

After the first game of the NBA Finals, it is evident that the Lakers have the upper hand with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor together. Besides Dragic, Bam Adebayo also went down with a shoulder injury, and he will be re-evaluated ahead of Game 2.

Given the extent of his injury, it would come as a surprise if Dragic is able to give it a go in Game 2 on Friday. Until Dragic proves he can play, expect Kendrick Nunn to get more minutes versus the Lakers.
