The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a crushing 27-24 loss on Sunday to the New England Patriots that essentially ended their chances of securing the top seed in the AFC, unless the Patriots lose a home game to the Buffalo Bills or Miami Dolphins.

During the game, the Steelers also lost All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to a partially torn calf muscle that will keep him out of the lineup for the next two to four weeks. The 29-year-old took to social media on Monday to voice his optimism about the situation, while the injury a “minor setback.”

Brown is confident about the situation given that he should be back on the field in time for the playoffs. If the Steelers are able to secure the second seed in the AFC postseason picture, Brown would have a full month, if needed, to fully recovery from the injury.

However, his absence over the last two games of the regular season leaves a major void in the passing game. Brown was in the midst of an MVP-caliber campaign, racking up 101 catches for 1,533 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, which made him the first player in league history to record at least 100 receptions in five consecutive years.

The Steelers will likely lean on rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant to carry a significant part of the load in the passing game. Smith-Schuster put together his second career 100-receiving yard performance with six catches for 114 yards against the Patriots. Meanwhile, Bryant had four receptions for 59 yards and touchdown. Le'Veon Bell could also receive a heavier load in the running game over the next two weeks with Brown out.
