Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown has been the story of the NFL offseason so far. The seven-time Pro-Bowler has made it very clear that he wants out of Pittsburgh.

Last Tuesday, Brown broke Twitter when he issued a farewell statement to Pittsburgh fans. The post included “#NewDemands.”

This caught football fans by surprise, leading many to speculate that a trade had been agreed upon to move Brown. However, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, this wasn't the case.

Tuesday afternoon’s tweet from Steelers receiver Antonio Brown suggests that there’s been a recent development between him and the Steelers. Per a league source, there hasn’t been.

However, the source says that Brown previously has requested a trade, and that Brown still wants one.

This whole situation has been very public. Brown isn't hiding that he believes the Steelers are no longer the best team for him. On Friday, it was reported that Brown doesn't plan on changing his mind. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Brown originally asked to be traded in early January, after he sat out of Pittsburgh's final game of the season. Reportedly, Brown feels that Steelers head coach Mike Timlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger are too aligned.

The wide receiver signed a four-year deal with the club in 2017. The extension made Brown the league's highest-paid wideout at the time. There are two guaranteed years remaining on Brown's deal.

In 2018, the 30-year-old led the league in touchdowns, scoring 15 times in his 15 games played. He caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards. For his career, he has scored 74 touchdowns and made 837 receptions for 11,207 yards.
