Through the last several years, Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown has established himself as arguably the best player at his position in the NFL.

In this time, he has become one of the most popular players in the NFL while playing for one of the league's most historic franchises. All of this has helped him earn the unique honor of gracing the Madden 19 cover for the first time in his career.

This is a well-deserved honor for Brown that further recognizes him as one of the best players in the league. He has continued to produce at a Hall of Fame worthy level that he has taken up a notch over the last few seasons producing at a record-breaking pace that could see him one day challenge many of the records held by Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

Brown currently sits at 733 receptions for 9,910 receiving yards, which are the most since he entered the NFL back in 2010. This also includes holding the NFL record for most catches (582) and receiving yards (7,848) over a five-year span along with being the league leader with 19 games with at least 10 catches and 16 of those such contests with 100 receiving yards. He is coming off another highly productive campaign where he recorded 101 catches for a league-best 1,533 receiving yards despite missing the final two games due to injury.

There may have been just as deserving candidates for the cover, but Brown has been the gold standard for wide receivers throughout much of his career behind his consistently stellar play each season. The 2018 campaign should be much of the same as he's still the unquestioned top receiving option in the passing game for the Steelers that will set the table for him to add his NFL record with his sixth straight campaign with more than 100 catches and 1,200 receiving yards.
