As everyone knows, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost a couple of their big offensive weapons this offseason. Despite the losses, Art Rooney II believes they have a talented roster still.

In an article by Gerry Dulac of the Post Gazette, Art Rooney II said he likes the “pieces we have on the chessboard right now.” Rooney and the Steelers are trying to figure out what went wrong in the 2018 season and fixing it in 2019.

This offseason, the Steelers lost both Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown in their offense. Bell was one of the best running backs in the NFL with Pittsburgh but he sat out the entire 2018 season due to a contract dispute.

The Steelers allowed Bell to become a free agent this offseason and now the running back resides with the New York Jets. As for Brown, a fractured relationship with the team at the end of last season pushed him to be traded to the Oakland Raiders.

Both Bell and Brown provided a ton of production and neither will be easy to replace. Nonetheless, Rooney likes where the Steelers are at.

Besides their losses, the Steelers focused on signing Ben Roethlisberger to a long-term extension and keeping Mike Tomlin. Both are now signed through 2021 and Rooney believes that keeps the window for a possible Super Bowl open.

The Steelers also signed guys like Steven Nelson, Mark Barron, and Donte Moncrief to play important roles on the team. Pittsburgh also addressed the inside linebacker position by trading up in this year's draft to select Devin Bush.

Despite some people writing off the Steelers, Art Rooney II believes that Pittsburgh has the right pieces to make another Super Bowl run in 2019.
