Big Ben is back. After missing virtually the entire season last year due to an elbow injury, Ben Roethlisberger is back at the helm of the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense and his return versus the New York Giants was historic. The signal caller had a rough start but once he settled down, the 38-year old showed that he still has it in him.

Ben Roethlisberger ended their season-opening win against the New York Giants with three TD passes to become just the 8th QB in NFL history with at least 3 touchdown passes in 50 career games (per ESPN).

”I am excited we won the game,” Ben Roethlisberger said (per CBS Sports). ”I told the guys before the game it is not about me individually. The reason I came back is for these guys, this team. It's a special group of football players, of men, and I am just glad to be a part of it.”

The Steelers were down early against the Giants when Big Ben found JuJu Smith-Schuster for a 10-yard touchdown. He also found with James Washington before the first half ended before connecting with Smith-Schuster again in the fourth period to ultimately seal the victory for the Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger also had an almost-impossible pass which was impressively caught by rookie Chase Claypool.

With the win, Ben Roethlisberger and the rest of the Steelers also successfully spoiled head coach Joe Judge's Giants debut.

Though it was Pittsburgh's defense which carried most of the load on Monday night's win, Ben Roethlisberger timely plays were ultimately the ones to get the Steelers over the hump and snag the W. Look for the two-time Super Bowl champion to continue to be huge for the Steelers all season long.
