The Pittsburgh Steelers saw their promising season come to an abrupt end on in a disappointing divisional round loss to Jacksonville Jaguars.

In spite of that, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger voiced that he believes the team shouldn't make any significant changes over the offseason, according to Chris Adamski of Triblive.com.

“I think that the important thing is we’ve got a really good group here – that includes coaches and players, a special group,” Roethlisberger said. “The least amount of change, the better. That goes for players, coaches and everything – we don’t want big changes. We’re right there. We’re on the cusp (of a championship).”

The Steelers are coming off a season where they won 13 games and had secured one of the top records in the NFL. They have a plethora of talent on the offensive side of the ball behind a balanced attack. With Roethlisberger further clarifying that he wants to return next season and a few years beyond that, it should keep them in the conversation as one of the best passing attacks with Antonio Brown at the centerpiece along with a rising star in JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The primary concern in the offseason should be to re-sign All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell to a new long-term deal. He is set to become a free agent this upcoming offseason and has already voiced that he will consider either sitting out or retiring altogether if the Steelers place the franchise tag on him once again.

Bell has a certainly made a strong case to receive a lucrative contract offer as he’s been arguably the best running back in the league over the last few years. He finished the 2017 regular season third in rushing yards with 1,291 while scoring nine touchdowns on the ground. He was also a huge factor as a receiver out of the backfield, leading all running backs with a career-high 85 catches for 655 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

There had also been some minority stake owners of the team pushing for head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired. On top of that, offensive coordinator Todd Haley could be on the move. All of this should set up for an intriguing offseason with some major decisions ahead.
