Ben Roethlisberger will no longer have his own radio show. According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback “will not continue his weekly radio show on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh.”

Roethlisberger's Tuesday morning show became good listening for the Pittsburgh audience. It was a chance for him to connect with fans in a different way, but it also created drama. As Florio puts it, Roethlisberger has a “habit of saying things that generated headlines, especially when publicly criticizing teammates.”

In the 2018 regular season, Roethlisberger called out wide receiver and former Steeler Antonio Brown for running a route incorrectly. Recently, he's admitted that doing so played a role in the demise of their once strong friendship.

“I wish I wouldn’t have done it,” Roethlisberger said in an interview with NBC Sports’ Michele Tafoya. “Obviously we saw what happened and obviously it ruined a friendship. I just got caught up in emotion in the heat of the battle.”

Brown doesn't agree with them being friends at all. He said in a tweet earlier in the week, “Never friends just had to get my ends…shut up already.” The tweet has since been deleted, so who knows what he really thinks?

Roethlisberger also called out rookie wide receiver James Washington on the show for his role in a loss to the Denver Broncos.

It's clear the radio show spawned unwanted drama for the organization, a dynamic it has worked hard to overcome during the offseason.
