Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores risked it all when he pursued legal action against the NFL. But his football talent has landed him a job nonetheless with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Brian Flores is now the Steelers' senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach.

The Steelers have hired former Dolphins coach Brian Flores as senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach.

While it's a step down from his head coaching position, Flores joins the staff of the most established black head coach currently in the NFL today in Mike Tomlin.

Flores spent three seasons as the Dolphins head coach, running a tight ship and turning his first season when the team went 5-11 to two winning seasons after that. Miami went 19-14 in his last two seasons.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was vocal on the move to hire Brian Flores shortly after the announcement.

“I am excited about Brian Flores joining our coaching staff given his history of developing and teaching defensive players during his time in the NFL. Brian's resume speaks for itself, and I look forward to him adding his expertise to help our team.”

While the battle wages on in the legal court, Brian Flores can go back to dealing with problems on the field as well.
