The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots looked to be headed towards an AFC title game showdown last year until the Steelers were upended by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional round.

There was a lot of talk after the game wondering if the Steelers had not taken the Jaguars serious enough and were looking ahead to the following weekend and a date with the Patriots. Mike Tomlin had talked about another showdown with the Patriots before even taking on the Jaguars and David DeCastro talked after the Jaguars game about some players looking ahead.

DeCastro revisited those comments at the start of training camp and said he hopes that this team realizes they need to take it one week at a time.

“I hope people realize it after last year and all the B.S.,” DeCastro said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I hope guys just realize it’s one game at a time. Don’t let your head get too big. We have a big week, Week 1. That’s all we should care about. Obviously the big goal is in the back of your head as it should be, but don’t overlook anyone in the National Football League. It’s just ridiculous.”

The Steelers open their regular season against the Cleveland Browns and they are a team that can't be overlooked, especially now. This isn't the same Browns team that failed to win a game last year, they are much improved. If the Steelers overlook them this year, it will be the yellow and black that start the season 0-1.
