Fullback Derek Watt has recently signed a three-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He'll now be teaming up with his younger brother, All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt. In a recent interview with ESPN's Brooke Pryor, Watt expressed that his brother J.J Watt was excited for both of them.

“He’s [J.J. is] extremely happy for us, and very, like I said, he’s jealous of the fact we get to play together, but he’s super supportive,” Derek said. “We’re all supportive of each other … I definitely have seen Steeler Nation on Twitter, Instagram, all that stuff, as you say, courting J.J. and trying to bring the three of us, the trilogy, all together. That would be something special.

In the same interview, Watt revealed that his brother wasn't the only reason why he joined the Steelers. Watt expressed that he also joined the Steelers because of their culture and tradition.

“It’s a hard-working, blue-collar, tough-nosed organization,” he said. “That kind of fits into the way I was raised and the way I try to play the game.”

This NFL offseason, T.J. and Derek have been working out with their older brother J.J. Watt at his home in Wisconsin. However, Derek doesn't plan on living with his brother in Pittsburgh for this upcoming season with the Steelers.

“Once we get to Pittsburgh, I'm not going to say we're going to be roommates,” Watt said. “He doesn't want that. I know my wife doesn't want that. It would be awesome, yes, but there's a fine line between being around each other every single day, nonstop. So we're going to look and hopefully get out to the area soon. It's kind of crazy, wild with this coronavirus stuff just trying to keep everybody safe.

T.J. and Derek will be playing together for the first time since college in 2015.
