The Pittsburgh Steelers made a move before Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns. They benched quarterback Mason Rudolph in favor of undrafted rookie Devlin Hodges.

This was not the first start for Hodges, but it was the first time he was starting without injury being the reason.

In Week 13, Hodges went 14-of-21 (66.7%) for 212 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. So the numbers were solid. They weren't going to make your head spin, but they were far from bad. Most importantly, he did more-than-enough to help his team win.

The Steelers beat the Browns 20-13 and moved to 7-5 on the year.

Now, Pittsburgh is facing off with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14. And they are sticking with Hodges at quarterback.

Hodges absolutely did nothing to convince the team that he doesn't deserve to remain the starter. He made very few mistakes and kept the ball moving down the field.

At 7-5, Pittsburgh's playoff hopes are still very much intact. In fact, if the season ended today, they would be sneaking into the playoffs.

Of course, the season does not end after 13 weeks. The Steelers still have four games to go. In that time, they could move up even further in the playoff standings, or find themselves fall out of them completely.

Due to that, it's important they play the people they believe will help them win the most. It's not time to be evaluating talent.

That should tell you just how highly the Steelers think of Hodges. He is their man at quarterback, at least for now. It worked well in Week 13, let's see if it can keep working moving forward.
