The Pittsburgh Steelers were humiliated 42-21 by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs.

On either side of the football, Pittsburgh did not perform well enough, as many of their offensive and defensive weapons did not perform to their potential.

Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson dropped a few passes during the game against the Chiefs, causing some Steelers supporters to be dissatisfied with his performance. Johnson had this to say, according to ESPN NFL reporter Brooke Pryor,

“Sometimes, you drop the ball. Big deal. Bounce back from it, make another play. That’s what I did. I was able to get in the end zone and still make a couple plays after the two drops that I had.”

Fortunately for the Steelers and Johnson, following this play, he was able to get the ball into the end zone and make up for his missed pass. Even if he had not reached the end zone, the Steelers would have lost the game, and no single player can be held solely responsible.

For the Steelers, it was the end of an era as Ben Roethlisberger played his final game in the black and gold, as he is expected to retire.

This Pittsburgh Steelers team will have a fascinating offseason and draft since they will certainly need to acquire a quarterback and decide who will be controlling the offense for the next decade.
