The Pittsburgh Steelers lost in disappointing fashion to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. One of the biggest scapegoats for the loss was wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who had a few dropped passes in the blowout loss. Johnson did address his drops, responding to those who criticized him, both through the media and on social media. However, Johnson also pointed his finger at Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada for the offense's lackluster effort against the Chiefs, via SteelersWire of USA Today.

“Certain things weren’t going our way,” Johnson said. “Certain playcalls, we just weren’t getting that we wanted to get the offense going. We can only do what we’re told to do at the end of the day.”

Hmm, who could Steelers wideout Diontae Johnson be talking about here? Certainly not offensive play-caller Matt Canada?

Johnson said the offense wasn't in a rhythm because of certain play-calls, saying that the Steelers can only “do what they're told at the end of the day.” The talented wideout clearly had a problem with how Canada approached the Steelers-Chiefs game.

This isn't the first time that Canada has been under the microscope, though it's ironic that the criticism should come from Johnson, who isn't really in a great position to point fingers after his subpar performance.

Ultimately, it will be up to head coach Mike Tomlin to assess the Steelers-Chiefs game and determine steps forward. Judging by the comments of Diontae Johnson, Tomlin may have a problem on his hands when it comes to his offensive players' chemistry with Matt Canada.

It will be an interesting offseason in Pittsburgh.
