Free-agent wide receiver Eli Rogers isn't short of potential destinations as he has some visits lined up. But the former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout is still open for a possible return.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rogers will be in Pittsburgh to visit the Steelers on Wednesday.

Rogers already visited with the Chiefs and the Browns and also had a scheduled visit with the Raiders later in the week as he looks to latch onto a team for the 2018 season.

Rogers tore his ACL in Pittsburgh’s playoff loss to the Jaguars in January. As a result, the Steelers passed on tendering him as a restricted free agent.

After going undrafted in 2015, the 25-year-old eventually caught on with the Steelers. He appeared in 27 games over two seasons, which included 12 starts, and had 66 catches for 743 yards and four touchdowns. He also spent time as a punt returner on special teams.

However, Rogers saw his role on the team diminished last season with the emergence of JuJu Smith-Schuster. He had just 18 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown in 2017.

But with Smith-Schuster likely to move outside this season following Martavis Bryant’s departure, the Steelers still have a vacancy at the slot. Rogers has played that role at times during his Steelers career, which makes him a logical candidate for a potential return.
