The Pittsburgh Steelers came away with a pivotal win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and have now won five of their last six games to shockingly vault themselves into playoff contention in the AFC.

But if the Steelers want to shock the world and make the postseason, they'll probably need James Conner. The good news is that the running back looks slated for a Week 11 return.

According to Gerry Dulac of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Conner, who has missed the last two games with a separated shoulder, is expected to be back on the field when Pittsburgh takes on the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.

Even with Conner, the Steelers' ground game has struggled this season. Without him and rookie Benny Snell, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery a couple of weeks ago, it has fallen even further.

During Sunday's victory over the Rams, Pittsburgh managed just 42 rushing yards on 27 attempts, good for a meager average of 1.6 yards per carry, the team's lowest mark of the season.

While second-year quarterback Mason Rudolph has strung together some solid performances coupled with the Steelers' defense stepping up, it will certainly need a stronger running game over the final stretch of the season to notch a playoff berth.

In seven games this year, Conner has rushed for 380 yards and four touchdowns, logging 3.9 yards per tote. In addition, he has caught 29 passes for 236 yards and a pair of scores.

Now in his third season, Conner is one year removed from a Pro Bowl appearance, as he racked up 973 yards and 12 rushing scores while hauling in 59 receptions for 497 yards and a touchdown in 2018.
