Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner suffered an ankle injury during Monday's 27-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. That didn't stop him from recording 125 scrimmage yards and one touchdown.

It also won't stop him from practicing during the lead-up to Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens either. On Tuesday, Conner said his ankle is fine as he didn't suffer a tear and received treatment, per Andrew Filipponi of 93.7 The Fan. The back mentioned he should be able to practice on Wednesday.

Coach Mike Tomlin also noted that Conner would be limited for the week, so will defensive end Cameron Heyward, who sustained a quad injury during the win, via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.

Conner played a significant role in the Steelers' win over the Bengals on Monday, as he recorded 125 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, as previously mentioned. His running ability helped open up the offense, while also supplementing baby-faced quarterback Mason Rudolph with needed check downs.

Conner's backfield mate, Jaylen Samuels, also played an integral part in the win. For the night, he recorded 83 total yards and a score. If Conner is out next Sunday, the Steelers will rely upon Samuels to open up the run game, along with rookie Benny Snell, who hasn't earned much of a role as of late.

In all likelihood, the Steelers will play Conner on Sunday, considering how important he is to their offense and the severity of the injury. Pittsburgh is playing a must-win game (at 1-3) against Baltimore (at home), missing Conner would not help their chances to get their needed win.
