The Pittsburgh Steelers finally tasted their first defeat of the season on Monday, as they fell to the Washington Football Team, 23-17. This puts an end to Pittsburgh's 11-game winning streak to open the season, and for his part, Steelers wide receiver James Washington had a few things to say after the loss.

Washington was not happy with how his team kept on dropping balls against the Washington, and he believes it had a lot to do with their mindset coming into the contest:

“I don’t think there’s anything to work on”, Washington said, via the team's official website (h/t Matthew Marczi of Steeler Depot). “We just have to focus. You know, I feel like a lot of us are kind of thinking about the next move instead of just catching the ball first. That starts with the person. I know the group of guys we have that will focus in.”

James Washington himself wasn't bad on Monday, catching 2-of-4 targets for 80 yards. The 24-year-old also logged a 50-yard score, but in the end, the Steelers were still unable to hold on to their lead against a determined Washington side.

Pittsburgh will be back in action on Sunday in a matchup against the Buffalo Bills for Week 14. This should be a good opportunity for James Washington and Co. to bounce back from their first and only defeat of the season.

Despite this minor setback, however, the Steelers are still one of the favorites to go all the way this season.
