Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden spent the first seven years of his career with the Cleveland Browns. He was a standout player on most of the teams but he spent a lot of the time losing game after game. On Saturday,

Haden was back in Northeast Ohio to compete in the Jarvis Landry celebrity softball game and said he wishes the team would have been a little better when he was playing for the Browns.

“If you want me to be honest, yes,” Haden said via cleveland.com. “Every year I was here, I always felt like ‘this is going to be the year.’ No matter who the quarterback was, we were like, ‘he’s good enough to be a professional quarterback, he can make it happen for us.’

“I’m not in any way upset, but like I’m like ‘damn, if I was there, that sure would’ve been sweet.’”

The Browns roster has gone a complete makeover the last year and a half and it already resulted in a better season last year. The expectations are sky high coming into the season and the hope is that a lot more wins will be coming their way.

Some have talked about the Browns having the most talent in the AFC but Haden wouldn't go that far although he thinks they are up there.

“I would say they’re up there,’’ he said. “You could put their talent against anybody’s talent in the division and that’s what makes it good. At the end of the day, that’s not who wins it all the time. You’ve got to be a team. You’ve got to do it on special teams, offense and defense. Knowing that you have the athletes, now it’s just performing and taking coaching and just jelling together as a team.’’

There is no doubt that Haden is enjoying his former team have success but now on the Steelers, he still hopes they are the ones who end up on top of the AFC North.
