Throw in linebacker Joey Porter as the latest former Pittsburgh Steelers player to criticize quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Porter, who was a teammate of Roethlisberger's for three years from 2004 through 2006 and also served as a Steelers coach from 2014 through 2018, says that the 37-year-old abuses his authority:

“It’s clear he has the power, and how he uses it? He uses it for him,” Porter said of Roethlisberger on NFL Network. “You want your locker room to love you.”

Roethlisberger's questionable leadership ability has been a topic of discussion for years now, but the subject has really come into focus this offseason as a result of the Antonio Brown trade.

Brown ripped Roethlisberger after being dealt to the Oakland Raiders, saying that he never had a good relationship with the signal-caller.

Things between Brown and Roethlisberger reached a boiling part in the week leading up to the 2018 regular-season finale when the two players got into a heated dispute that apparently ended in Brown throwing a football at the quarterback.

Brown then refused to practice and ended up going AWOL on the team, resulting in head coach Mike Tomlin consequently benching him for the Steelers' Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 30-year-old then asked for a trade.

While Brown certainly has his own issues to own up to, there is clearly a disturbing pattern with Roethlisberger, as several of Roethlisberger's former teammates have come out and corroborated accounts that he is not a good leader.

The good news is it seems like Roethlisberger is taking all of the criticisms to heart and is attempting to be better.
