Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is banged up.

In addition to suffering a concussion during the second quarter of his team's loss against the Cleveland Browns last Thursday, Smith-Schuster also sustained a knee injury on the same play, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

His status for the Steelers' Week 12 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals is up in the air.

Smith-Schuster logged a couple of catches for 21 yards before exiting in Week 11. On the season overall, he has tallied 38 grabs for 524 yards and three touchdowns in what has been a disappointing year for the third-year pro.

The 22-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Southern California, was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (62nd pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in 14 games during his rookie campaign and was impressive, catching 58 passes for 917 yards and seven scores. Then, last year, Smith-Schuster broke out in a big way, appearing in every contest and hauling in 111 receptions for 1,426 yards while reaching the end zone seven times en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

With Antonio Brown's departure this past offseason, Smith-Schuster instantly became the Steelers' No. 1 receiver, but he has not produced like a top wideout in 2019.

Of course, that is hardly all Smith-Schuster's fault, as Ben Roethlisberger went down with an elbow injury in Week 2 and Pittsburgh's offense as a whole has been dreadful throughout most of the year.

The Steelers are 5-5 and are looking to keep their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday.
