Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster may be a dangerous offensive threat on the field. However, he's maintained the persona of an outspoken and a happy-go-lucky character off the field.

The former USC Trojan shared in an interview on the Barstool podcast Pardon My Take:

“Outside of football, I live my life to the fullest. I make Youtube videos, I do things that I can’t be doing. I do collabs with other Youtubers, I do stuff with other Instagram people but at the end of the day, I do love football and that’s one thing that I always get shit for.

They’re like does he really love football, does he really care about football but at the end of the day I’m just a human being too and I love what I do,” Smith-Schuster continued. “I love football, I love my teammates, I love to play football but at the end of the day, I want to be JuJu, myself, because when football’s done what more am I going to have?”

The 23-year old receiver acknowledged the questions that come with his commitment to the game due to these activities but he professed adamantly his love for football and his teammates. Juju Smith-Schuster may spend a lot of time on YouTube, but you can't dog at his effort on the field. He seems to have found just the right balance for both his passions.

But clearly, Juju has some work to do to have a bounce-back season. A major collision knocked out Smith-Schuster after  in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns last season, . He also suffered a knee injury from the Cleveland game and finished the 2019 season with a career-low 552 yards and three touchdowns on 42 catches.

Smith-Schuster already owns several NFL and Steelers franchise records to his name while still being in the early stages of his career. He will look to help his team bounce back from an 8-8 record in 2019.

The upcoming 2020 season looks promising for the Steelers. Pittsburgh is rolling with a healthy JuJu and Big Ben Roethlisberger back in the lineup for the Steelers. The offensive duo will visit the New York Giants on September 14 to begin the season.
