The Pittsburgh Steelers received terrible news on Monday that Ben Roethlisberger will miss the rest of the season with an elbow injury. Following the news, JuJu Smith-Schuster took to Twitter to share his reaction to his quarterback's season-ending injury.

In Week 2, the Steelers witnessed Roethlisberger exit the game in the first half after he suffered a non-contact injury to his elbow. After receiving an MRI on his elbow, it was discovered that he was going to need surgery.

With Roethlisberger missing time, the player who hurts the most in his absence is Smith-Schuster. The young wide receiver has built a noticeable connection with Roethlisberger over the past few seasons.

Last year, Smith-Schuster had the best season of his career with 111 receptions, 1,426 yards, and seven touchdowns. Now, the third-year wideout will need to get on the same page with his new quarterback, Mason Rudolph.

Rudolph is entering his second season with the Steelers after the team drafted him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Coming out of the draft, Pittsburgh believed that he could be the eventual successor to Roethlisberger.

The process of seeing what they have in Rudolph has been accelerated due to the injury to Big Ben. When Roethlisberger left the game against the Seattle Seahawks, Rudolph came in and played fairly well.

The Oklahoma State product completed 12 of his 19 attempts for 112 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the 28-26 loss on Sunday. Despite the potential of Rudolph, Smith-Schuster is going to miss having Roethlisberger throwing him passes this season.
