Perennial Pro Bowl running back Le'Veon Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers is arguably the best player in the NFL at this position. Year after year the star back produces for Pittsburgh as both a threat out of the backfield and in the passing game making him one of the most explosive players in the league today.

Bell is widely considered to be the most patient back in the NFL who always waits for the right opportunity to hit a hole and inflict the most damage as possible on opposing defenses. The 26-year-old star feels he's unique in a sense in terms of his style of play and doesn't compare himself to his peers, via ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

“I don't really compare myself to a lot of other running backs — that's no offense to any other running back, but just the fact that I can see and avoid hits,” Bell said. “It's not like when I get the ball 30 times or 35 times and I'm really taking 30 car crashes. Either I'm delivering the blow or I'm getting to the ground. I'm sore after games, but it's not like I'm aching. I don't have to miss practices. I can go full speed and be good.”

Currently, Bell is trying to convince the Steelers brass that he's worth a lucrative long-term investment. The All-Pro has been franchise tagged for the second straight season and is hoping to get a contract extension done before the deadline next month.

Although Bell is as productive as they come in the NFL, the running back position isn't as valued as it once was with teams leery of signing long-term deals with players due to a fear of not getting a return on investment. Bell will continue to stick by his stance for the amount of money he's asking for, but it remains to be seen whether a deal will get done between the two sides and if a parting of the ways is ultimately inevitable.
