Free safety Mike Mitchell is speaking out about Antonio Brown, calling the beleaguered Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver “the best teammate.”

In his tweet, the Indianapolis Colts player said that Brown is a “model for work ethic, discipline, and consistency,” while also acknowledging that, like every other human being on the planet, he has his flaws. He went on to say that the people who were passing judgment on Brown didn't “have him over their house,” and he implored people to get to know the man, “not just the hair and the number.”

Mitchell is just the latest sports star to defend Brown, who has been trying to get a new contract after announcing that he was “moving on” from the Steelers after nearly a decade with the team.

Just yesterday, former San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice defended Brown again as well.

The “Mr. Big Chest” comment was in response to Brown's request to be called “Mr. Big Chest” from here on out. While Rice has said, in the past, that he'd love nothing more than to see Brown come on board with the San Francisco 49ers — and would love to serve as a mentor to the young player — he doesn't, ultimately, have any control over where Brown ends up.

It should be interesting to see if Brown can get it together long enough to get picked up by a team and stop with the drama both on the field and off the field. It will, eventually, catch up to him, if it hasn't already.
