Heading into tonight's critical matchup against the Tennessee Titans (6-3), the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) will be without free safety Mike Mitchell and tight end Vance McDonald. Both players were on the team's official inactives list prior to kickoff.

Last week against the Indianapolis Colts, the Steelers had all of their starters active for the first time this season. Joe Haden endured a fractured fibula in that game to sideline him for a few weeks. The Steelers hoped Mitchell would be able to play today with an ankle injury he suffered in Indianapolis, but with the short week, he just couldn't recover in time.

In addition to Mitchell, McDonald is out with an ankle issue. He suffered the injury last Sunday before coming back into the game to score a touchdown as Pittsburgh stormed back from a 17-3 deficit to beat the Colts, 20-17. Again, the short week surely played a role in him not being able to go tonight.

Mitchell started every game in the first three years of his NFL career with Pittsburgh, but tonight will be his second missed game in 2o17. A hamstring issue kept him out of Pittsburgh's Week 4 win over the rival Baltimore Ravens.

Coty Sensabaugh gets the start for Haden at cornerback. Kickoff is at 8:25 p.m. EST on NBC, NFL Network, and Amazon Prime.
