There was some speculation that the Pittsburgh Steelers could make another quarterback change following Devlin Hodges' poor performance against the Buffalo Bills, but it looks like Hodges will be staying put.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, head coach Mike Tomlin says that Hodges will be the Steelers' starting quarterback for their Week 16 matchup with the New York Jets on Sunday.

Tomlin notes that he had “a few days to consider it,” so it does seem like there was some deliberation as to who would start this weekend.

Hodges completed 23 of his 38 passes for 202 yards, a touchdown and four interceptions in Pittsburgh's loss to the Bills this past Sunday, marking his first truly poor performance of the season.

The 23-year-old has made six appearances with four starts in 2019, with his first start coming back in Week 6 when Mason Rudolph was sidelined due to a concussion.

Hodges went back to the bench the following week, but in Week 13, he was named the Steelers' starting signal-caller going forward due to Rudolph's struggles.

The Steelers got off to an 0-3 start this season and looked dead in the water after Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending injury in Week 2, but they have since gone 8-3 to vault themselves into playoff contention.
