Najee Harris has been a workhorse for the Pittsburgh Steelers, starting in every single game that he has played in so far. However, after this game against the Los Angeles Chargers, perhaps the team should consider resting him for a few games lest he gets injured severely

While trying to mount a late comeback in the Steelers' Week 11 tilt versus the Chargers, the rookie took a helmet hit from linebacker Kyzir White. Najee Harris was slow to get up, sparking fears that he could have suffered a concussion on the play. Here's the video of the hit. (via FTBVids_YT)

That's a bullet train rocking Harris' head. The Pittsburgh rookie, who has proven himself to be tough as nails, looked shaken up and had to be taken out of the game after that hit. This, along with another dangerous-looking hit to Harris in the first quarter of the same game, might push the Steelers to rest their prized rookie for a while for him to recuperate.

Concussions and head injuries have been a problem in the NFL since time immemorial. The league has taken some steps to take care of their players more. However, it's a given that a high-intensity contact sport like football will have a lot of dangerous hits like this. If the Steelers prove that Najee Harris suffered a concussion, the rookie will be forced to miss games as part of the league's protocols.

The timing of this hit couldn't have been worse for Harris and the Steelers. They might have to miss games without their best option on offense, which doesn't bode well for their chances of making the playoffs.

UPDATE: After being checked, Harris was cleared from the concussion protocol. Great!
