Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is nearly done with his holdout, and the team's owner Art Rooney doesn't expect to trade him anytime soon. The trade deadline is Oct.30, but the Steelers are optimistic about what Bell will bring to the team once he makes his return. Some expected Bell to return this past week, but no such thing has occurred. Other reports say Bell plans on returning in Week 9, but he himself hasn't given no timetable for when he expects to come back.

The Steelers are 3-2-1, and remain in the hunt for the AFC North title. They have a bye this week, but they'll play the Cleveland Browns in Week 8, who they tied in their season opener. That game would definitely be one they'd like to have Le'Veon Bell back for, especially considering their last result.

Art Rooney was careful in his response, but he thinks Bell still has a future with the Steelers. He didn't say much, but it seems like he believes the team can retain Bell in 2019.

“I think the team has handled it well,” Rooney told NFL.com. “The players have adjusted, just carrying on without him. That's all you can do. But it's early in the season, we have a long way to go. We just have to keep getting better every week. Can't take anything for granted.”

There's know telling what Bell will look like when he does take the field again, but it would be crazy for anyone to pass up on a player with his talent. His future with the Steelers will be determined by how much the team is willing to offer him after this year's fiasco.
