Pittsburgh Steelers' Cam Heyward had some words to say after his team suffered its third consecutive loss against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15 of the season. The four-time Pro Bowler believes that their most recent defeat could serve as a wake-up call for the Steelers to get back on the right track.

“I'm not disappointed — I'm just pissed off,” Heyward said via ESPN. “We just lost the damn game. I think that's the way our team feels. We're not feeling sorry for ourselves, but we've got to get the job done. We're two weeks out.

He also detailed some points of improvement for the team as they head to the final two games of their 2020 campaign.

“We've just got to play our brand of football. Attack the line of scrimmage, offense and defense. We need to make plays early and not be in a catch-up game. As a defense, if you get in the red zone, it's got to be three points or nothing. It can't be touchdowns. They go up early, and to start 17-0, you're asking for a lot from our offense. Our offense just has to start fast.”

The Steelers' stop unit headlined by Cam Heyward failed to get the job done as the Bengals jumped off to a hot 17-0 start to close the first half of the game. The team's offense managed to gather momentum in the second half where they scored 17 points compared to the Bengals' 10.

However, the margin was already too wide for the Steelers to overcome in the fourth quarter as they fell on a 27-17 defeat. With their most recent loss, the Steelers have now plummeted to an 11-3 record to still hold the top spot in the AFC North.

Despite the defense's lapses, Heyward still managed to tally four total tackles while safety Minkah Fitzpatrick added six tackles of his own. The Steelers are hoping that their players' individual efforts can finally translate to a much-needed win as they face the Indianapolis Colts who are currently on a three-game winning streak heading to their Week 16 encounter.
