The Pittsburgh Steelers may have endured a disappointing 2018 NFL season. Fortunately, they can take solace in the fact that they were able to claim a different kind of honor.

Pittsburgh has served as a bit of a haven for football fans since the conception of its only football franchise. According to NBC Sports, it was named as the best city for fans.

The Steel City claims another title.

Fan experience, ticket prices, and on-field success are all factors included in the rankings.

It is easy to see why Pittsburgh won this honor. First and foremost, they have been able to maintain one of the most talented rosters in the NFL for quite some time. Having a formidable squad gives the fans something to root for and it appears to be a trend when it comes to this list.

The Steelers managed to edge out household names like the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers in these rankings. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints were able to round out the top-5. It is safe to say that these are some of the more storied organizations the NFL has to offer.

While Pittsburgh may be a great city for fans, the same cannot be said for the players they root for. Their front office has failed to hold onto not one, but two of their premier superstars in recent years. The departure of running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown will undoubtedly be felt this offseason. It will be interesting to see if the Steelers can still put on a good show without them next season.
