The Pittsburgh Steelers might pull off an uncharacteristic move in next week's draft by trading up to nab a more highly touted prospect. Steelers owner Art Rooney II isn't counting out the possibility and likely has his eyes on some talent that could turn the team around next season.

“It would be fair to say that we have more ammunition this year if we wanted to do that. You have to find a dance partner, and that’s not always easy. I don’t know that I would put it in the category of ‘being more likely.’ If the opportunity presents itself, we’ll look at it.”

LSU's Devin White and University of Michigan's Devin Bush are two players that could drastically help the defense next season and it's a position the team could surely afford to assess. After the loss of Ryan Shazier, the Steelers defense has struggled badly in regards to finding a linebacker who possesses a similar skill set that Shazier brought to the team. While Shazier is irreplaceable and the team is not trying to replace him, their hopes of finding a linebacker that could ease the loss a bit could happen in this year's draft.

If the Steelers don't trade up it's likely they'll take a cornerback to help the secondary and it's clear the team has come to the conclusion that Artie Burns is not the man for the job.

Whatever player the team drafts, it's increasingly clear it will be a defensive prospect, it's just a matter of preference for the team at this point.
