The COVID-19 outbreak within the Tennessee Titans put the NFL on notice, and also seemed to endanger multiple games in Week 4. However, Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network reported the Pittsburgh Steelers are being told Sunday's game against the Titans is still a go, for now.

Indeed, the Steelers released a statement following news of the outbreak:

“We have been in contact with the NFL regarding the positive COVID-19 tests with the Titans,” via Dianna Russini of ESPN. “We have been informed to proceed with our game preparations for Sunday’s game until we are informed otherwise. We will provide more information when available.”

But there are still questions as to whether Sunday's game will be played.

Russini reported the Titans will do everything remotely, and will not be allowed in the team facility until Saturday, which could obviously impact their game against the Steelers. Meanwhile, Russini also reported the Minnesota Vikings players–who played the Titans this past Sunday–tested negative but will await further results.

This is the first major challenge for the NFL after weeks with zero positives, and it is worth wondering whether stricter mask-wearing mandates are coming. Multiple coaches were chastised and even fined for failing to wear the mask in the first two weeks, and the league will likely be looking to take further preventative measures.

However, the Steelers will still proceed as if they will play on Sunday. Pittsburgh is coming off a strong performance against the Houston Texans in which it held the Texans scoreless in the second half.

The Steelers will hope to improve to 4-0 on the season, pending the game takes place as planned.
