Prior to the Pittsburgh Steelers' win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport reported that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had cracked ribs.

Apparently, that was not the case, and Roethlisberger took to 93.7 The Fan to express his displeasure:

The funny thing is, no one would have thought Rapoport was given false information, as Roethlisberger is a guy who is known for constantly playing through injuries.

This time, though, there was seemingly nothing wrong with Big Ben.

The 36-year-old had a so-so game against the Patriots, completing 22 of his 34 passes for 235 yards, two touchdowns and a couple of interceptions. Most importantly, though, Roethlisberger and Co. came away with the win, improving to 8-5-1 and maintaining their hold on first place in the AFC North.

Overall this season, Roethlisberger has thrown for 4,462 yards, 30 touchdowns and a league-leading 15 picks while completing 66.9 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 96.4.

Should Roethlisberger play in the Steelers' final two games of the season, it would mark the first time since 2014 that Roethlisberger has gone an entire 16-game campaign without missing a contest.

Pittsburgh's schedule does not get any easier from here on out, either.

After defeating the Patriots this past Sunday, the Steelers will now head on the road to battle the NFC-best New Orleans Saints next weekend before coming home to wrap up the regular season against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals.

While the Steelers are in first place, the Baltimore Ravens are right on their heels with a record of 8-6.
