The Pittsburgh Steelers have been engulfed in drama ever since the season ended. The Antonio Brown saga was the biggest story of the offseason, and seemingly everyone around the organization got dragged into it. While it might seem like a headache, the Steelers actually could be well positioned this season.

For the first time in a long time, teams like the Browns and Ravens are taking all the attention away from them. The Steelers are surprisingly flying under the radar, which might be precisely the way they want it.

In fact, some players feel like all the drama brought them together. “I feel like we are closer now than we ever have been,” veteran offensive lineman Ramon Foster said recently after practice, per Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

“I’ve said it time and time before just talking to guys this offseason – I don’t think I have talked to more guys on the other side of the ball than I have in my entire career,” Foster said. “And that’s a really good thing. That means communication is there, understanding and there are guys who are genuinely caring about each other. And that’s a good thing.”

While Brown is an undeniable talent, it might end up being an addition by subtraction for the Steelers. They'll now be able to focus on playing football, and not have to deal with all the distractions that Brown and Le'Veon Bell brought.

The Steelers are still one of the league's most talented teams on paper, and everyone should sleep on them at their own peril. With lower expectations and a desire to prove everybody wrong, this Steelers team could be dangerous.
