The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a few key players of their roster on Monday night as they opened their 2020 season against the New York Giants. Though the Steelers came up with a win behind the impressive return of QB Ben Roethlisberger, Monday night's win came at a price. Right tackle Zach Banner had to be carted off the field after suffering an apparent knee injury in the fourth quarter.

Banner sustained the injury on pass protection as Roesthlisberger hit JuJu Smith-Schuster for a touchdown. The 26-year-old Banner couldn't put any weight on his right leg after the play and had to be carted off the field.

Banner was left in tears as he was departing a field.

Banner's knee injury comes in the middle of uncertainties on the Steelers' offensive line. There is no official word yet on the status of the Banner's knee. We're all hoping that it wasn't as bad as it looks.

The Steelers also lost right guard Stefan Wisniewski and running back James Conner as both players exited the game as well with respective injuries. Despite all the damage, the Steelers still got the 26-16 win over the Giants.

Banner took over the starting role this summer after re-signing with the Steelers for a one-year $1.75 million contract earlier this year.  He made his first career start at tackle Monday but his debut was short-lived as he had to finish the game in the locker room. Chukwuma Okorafor is set to fill in Banner's role for the foreseeable future.
