Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's time with the team appears to be coming to an end given all that transpired down the final stretch of the 2018 NFL season. However, it seems former Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes is not ready to watch his team move on just yet.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Brown's future this NFL offseason. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Holmes feels that the Steelers should do what they can to work things out:

Former Steeler Santonio Holmes said he would like to see the Steelers work out any differences with Antonio Brown. They've done too much together, he said. “He's one of the greatest things to happen since sliced bread,” Holmes said.

Holmes solution may seem a bit far-fetched at this point. Both sides have already acknowledged the fact that things may be too far gone. Regardless, it is easy to see where Holmes is coming from.

The former Super Bowl MVP can understand the situation better than most considering his familiarity with the team and his former status as their No. 1 wideout. Pittsburgh has clearly had some issues dealing with star players considering running back Le'Veon Bell is also on his way out of town this offseason. It seems Holes feels the front office should be doing more to keep these elite, star players around.

Unfortunately, the writing for Brown's looming departure has been on the wall for quite some time now. The star wideout has even added fuel to the fire with a number of posts on social media regarding potential landing spots. It will be interesting to see where he ultimately plays next season.
