After winning a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs Stefen Wisniewski has packed his bags and signed a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media.

Wisniewski only got a chance with the Chiefs because of injury, but he ended up starting the final two games of the regular season and all three games during the playoffs. There were some doubts before he signed with the Chiefs midseason that his career could be over, but he performed well enough to get another two-year deal. Wisniewski grew up a fan of the Steelers and went to many games at Heinz Field as a kid.

“It really hasn’t sunk in yet,” Wisniewski said over the phone Thursday night to Ray Fittipaldo of the Post Gazette. “I’ve been calling my friends and coaches. They’re all pumped.”

Wisniewski said he was hoping the Steelers would call. Once they did, he couldn't pass up the opportunity. According to Wisniewski, he was told he would get a chance to compete for the starting job at left guard.

“That’s my plan,” Wisniewski said. “I’ve been a starter for most of my career. I’ve started more than 100 games.”

He also made it very clear that his goal is to win another Super Bowl with his hometown team, which would be the third in his career.

“I’ve been blessed to win two Super Bowls,” Wisniewski said. “It’s an unbelievable experience to win one. I want to do it again with my hometown team.”
