Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback retired after 18 seasons in the NFL. He spent his entire career in Pittsburgh, leading the franchise to two Super Bowl victories. While not as decorated as seven-time champion Tom Brady, there is a huge amount of respect between the two seasoned quarterbacks.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback tweeted to Roethlisberger following his retirement announcement.

Among his NFL accolades, Brady is known for his outrageous diet and wellness routine, also known as the TB12 method. According to the TB12 website, it is “a holistic approach to health and wellness, with a focus on performance and recovery…balanced nutrition, optimal hydration, mental fitness, and functional strength & conditioning.”

Meanwhile, Roethlisberger had a much different approach to his career with the Steelers. Brady tweeted that Big Ben “defied” the TB12 method and went with the “Throw Some Ice On It” method instead.

He noted that while both quarterbacks have had great success in the NFL, they have extremely different styles of doing it. Or, as Brady put it, “There's more than one way to bake a cake!”

The Buccaneers quarterback began his career 22 years ago when he was drafted to the New England Patriots in 2000. Roethlisberger joined the league four years later when he was drafted by the Steelers in 2004.

The Steelers legend called it a career at 18 seasons, while Brady is still in peak condition at 44 years old and after 22 years in the league. Though there is a lot of talk about Brady possibly retiring this offseason, no official decisions have been made yet.
