Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell heard what Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had to say about him, and now things are going to get messing.

Well, to be clear, they have already gotten messy.

Recently, Bengals rookie Joe Mixon went around telling folk that he could do more than Le'Veon Bell. A bold claim, but one he did make.

“Me personally, I feel like I can do way more than [Bell] did. Like I said, I only had seven carries. I can’t showcase nothing if I don’t get the ball. There’s nothing else I can say,” Mixon said after last week’s loss to the Steelers, via ESPN.com’s Katherine Terrell.

Oh, boy. Mixon claims there's more he can do, but Cincy just won't let him do it — or something. Likely something, but you need not worry about those semantics for now.

Anyway, per the bylaws of it being 2017, Bell clapped back on the mean streets of Twitter.

“For someone who feels they can do ‘way more’ than I can, sure seems like u wanna be me! tryin to mimic my run style, my 1st down celebration,” Bell tweeted. “Now u wear an arm sleeve on your left arm AND went to the mismatch gloves too?! lol just change your number from 28 to 26 while [you’re] at it.”

The Steelers and Bengals are already a pretty historical National Football League rivalry. While one side of that rivalry has been far better the last, oh… forever, this will only help add fuel to the fire.

For what it is worth, Bell is better.
