Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had himself a great Sunday. He had 35 carries for 134 yards and three receptions for 58 yards, including a 42-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. Oh, he is also angry at Cincinnati Bengals defensive standout Vontaze Burfict.

“My fullback got kicked in the face. That’s just not football to me,” Le’Veon Bell said, via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “I don’t think that’s a respectable play.”

Vontaze Burfict already missed the Bengals first three games of the 2017 season due to a suspension for an unnecessary hit on Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman. Apparently, he is not a huge fan of people who play the fullback position or something — likely something, but you need not worry about the semantics.

Le'Veon Bell isn't known to randomly go off in postgame pressers, so when he says something like this, it should carry some weight.

For what it is worth. Burfict has long been considered one of the dirtier players in the National Football League. It seems like, season-after-season, something happens and the Bengals talent is at the center of some talking-point storm in regards to what is and isn't good football.

Burfict declined to shake hands when he came out to midfield during the coin toss because of course that is how this all likely began.

To clarify: It was Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix who was on the wrong end of this entire ordeal.

Nix declined to get into specifics about Burfict's behavior, saying simply “that's football.”

That is a polite way of not wanting to hurl an opponent, even if he deserves it, under the bus.
